Happy 71th Independence Day to all Indians

Updated on: 7 Mar, 2023

Let’s start with the Best wishes for the 71th Independence Day. Let’s salute the struggle and sacrifice of our great freedom fighters, our real heroes. We celebrate this day in the commemoration of our beloved nation’s independence from the United Kingdom on 15 August 1947.Independence is not only about the political or economic independence, but it’s about the independence of thoughts, lifestyle, and how we keep alive our culture. You should know, how far we have reached since 15th August 1947 to now in 2017.

Talking about the achievements since independence, we need to mention advancement in various fields of science and technology. Our strength and skills are enhanced with time as we have mastered the space technology. Today’s India is independent in manufacturing many technical and industrial goods.

In our country, we successfully eradicated various epidemics and polio as the life expectancy grew up to 68.89 years which was previously only 32 years. We are the only nation in the world that gives every adult the right to vote from its very first day of entering eighteenth year.  In the US, the world’s second largest democracy this right was given more than 150 years after their independence.

Today, we are among one of the four largest military power in the world. We grew up to be a nation, who elected woman as a Speaker, Prime Minister, and President, unlike the greatest power in the World, the United States of America.

In Spite of such a vast diversity, we are united and our feeling of unity rises with every passing day.

However, while looking at the progress achieved through the past 71 years, we should not ignore what is yet to be achieved. Let’s rededicate ourselves for the service of our nation on this Independence Day as we observe it as ‘Sankalp Parva’.

With this note, let’s make India of our dreams together, a super power with equal rights to all Indians, we again wish all our fellow countrymen a Happy Independence Day!
