Introduction
Dr. Batra’s Healthcare is one of the world’s largest homeopathy clinic chains, provid-ing best-in-class homeopathy treatment that combines homeopathy with advanced technology. Over 1.5 million patients have been treated in 200+ clinics by a network of 300+ best homeopathy doctors from five countries: India, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, and Bahrain.
Requirement
The client was looking for a tech partner to build a powerful mobile and web solution to help connect and manage doctors and patients easily. They wanted a mobile app where one could add all patients’ details, processes, and activities after getting on board for the treatment. They wanted the app to be managed by Batra’s clinic’s existing Web-based admin panel. The overall requirement of the app was:
- To help the patients view their upcoming and past appointments, reschedule, review their medical history, Text chat, Voice and Video calls with their doctors, etc.
- To help the doctors view their appointments, patient list, medical history details, Text chat, Voice and Video calls with the patients, etc.
- To help doctors manage the history of every patient at a single place, the history of the prescriptions, medicines, tests they have suggested, etc.
The idea was to blend their expertise with advanced technology to offer the best medical consultation to Dr. Batra’s patients.
Challenge
One major challenge was adding a video consultancy feature to the mobile application. After rounds of technical consultation and discussion with the client, we chose WebRTC technology to add video consultancy features to the solution.
Solution
The plan was to create something that empow-ers their patients and clients to consult from anywhere. They wanted a feature-rich and easy-to-use application for patients and doctors to upgrade their online consultancy services. We delivered a mobile app and a web portal for doctors with the following features:
Patient Features
Login/Logout, Appointment scheduling, list of Past and Upcoming Appointments, Medicine History, checking Doctor’s details, chat with a doctor, Video, and Voice calling for a consultation, upload reports, and feedback rating.
Doctor features
Include Login/Logout, Appointment list, Patient list, Patient details, Adding a summary of offline consultation, Upload prescriptions, chatting with patients, checking uploaded reports, and Video and Voice calling with patients.
